MELONBALL – German Punk Force Announce New LP ‘Take Care’ Out February 27th

German punk rock juggernaut MELONBALL roar back today with a fiery new single, “Silence = Compliance,” released jointly through Thousand Islands Records (CAN) and Rookie Records (GER). The track is the first preview of the band’s highly anticipated sophomore full-length, ‘Take Care’ arriving on February 27, 2026.

A blistering call-to-action, “Silence = Compliance” delivers a pointed message: when injustice thrives, silence is not neutrality — it’s complicity. With lightning-speed riffs, razor-sharp precision, and commanding vocals from Oli Barth-Jurca, the single urges listeners to speak up, push back, and refuse complacency in the face of oppression.

Built on a foundation of fast, technical, politically-charged punk, MELONBALL’s signature sound shines through: intricate drum work, melodic yet aggressive guitar lines, and a vocal performance that cuts straight through the noise.

Since the release of their 2023 debut BREATHE (Thousand Islands / Lockjaw Records), MELONBALL have carved out an impressive international footprint. They’ve stormed stages at major festivals including Ruhrpott Rodeo, Manchester Punk Festival, Mighty Sounds, Mission Ready, Punk Rock Holiday, and Music 4 Cancer, while sharing lineups with genre heavyweights like A Wilhelm Scream, Authority Zero, Lagwagon, Belvedere, The Iron Roses, Punk Rock Factory, and ZSK.

Following a UK tour in 2023 and a 10-date Eastern Canada run in 2024, MELONBALL continue their global reach with a four-show stretch supporting Satanic Surfers in November 2024. Their acoustic EP eup•nea, released in April 2024, showcased a dynamic new side of the band — further fueling anticipation for their upcoming second album.
