A Milan/Italy-based band active since 2003, Radio Days gift us with a perfect power pop record steeped in the melodic spirit of The Beatles and the broader British sound of the sixties and seventies. The ten tracks that make up “Off The Records” feel remarkably fresh and immediately accessible, brimming with energy and a mastery of their craft that Dario Persi (vocals and guitar) and company wear effortlessly, delivering in the process a string of singles that are, quite frankly, stunning. It is simply impossible to stay still in the face of the irresistible hook of “I Won’t Give Up”, or the round, bouncing rhythm of “Driving Through The Night”, where the open-road atmosphere wraps around you like a dreamy power pop ride on an imaginary Lambretta through the streets of London, or indeed the wistful, head-in-the-clouds “Leave This Town“. Ten tracks and ten bullseyes, a record and a band that it would be nothing short of criminal to overlook!
